Buggy Club is a group with an emphasis on meeting and welcoming
parents, carers and families with young children from birth to school age to
our church and activities. It is held on a Friday morning between 9am and
11.00am during school term time. The children have a great time playing,
stopping at around 10.15am for juice and toast
while th
e adults can chat and have a mug of tea or coffee and toast.
We hope to
involve the Buggy Club’s young members in
Church activities at Christmas, Mother’s
Day and Easter. So if you or anyone you know would like to come and join us for
a play, a cuppa and a chat you’re very welcome. We ask only
for a donation of £1 per child. This covers juice, toast for children,
tea/coffee and toast for the adults.
Buggy Club is very popular with both adults
and children but, to ensure the safety and welfare of all, we have to limit
numbers attending. There is a waiting
list for places at Buggy Club. To find
out more or register on the waiting list please call Barbara on: 07544 579 471 or click on the link below.
Scouting is about giving children fantastic opportunities. It’s about having fun and making life long friends. If you think Scouting’s just about knots, woggles and big shorts, then be prepared to be surprised. its how Richard Branson, Barack Obama and David Beckham got their start in life and you can benefit too.Every year the Scouting Association helps 400,000 young people in the UK enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors, interact with other, gain confidence and have the oppurtunity to reach their full potential. And its not just young people who can get in on the action. Working alongside our youth members are thousands of adult volunteers, with a huge variety of roles and opportunities available. If this sounds like something you would like to do then come and visit your local group at Burscough Methodist Church Hall on Orrell Lane, Burscough.
